Naruto Shippuuden – 42

At last the wait is over – our Naruto is back!!

The clone Yamato finally catches up to where Naruto and Orochimaru are fighting. Yamato can easily picture a smaller image of Kyuubi just by looking at Naruto in that form with the four tails. He watches as Orochimaru summons a wave of snakes out of his mouth towards Naruto. A blade covered in salvia grows out of each snake’s jaw and they are directed at Naruto. More and more snakes continue to come, building a large mountain. In an instance, they all go at Naruto in one shot, but just by swinging his arm Naruto completely destroys all the snakes. The attack causes a huge impact on all the surroundings, creating a great gush of air and pushing everything back. Then Naruto brings both of his hands into the ground and the floor begins to crack open slowly. Orochimaru already knows what Naruto is planning and he jumps away from where he’s standing just as Naruto’s hands emerge from underneath. Another red hand grows out of one of the hands and pursues Orochimaru as he continues evading the attacks and running away. While the hand weaves its way to Orochimaru, a snake spirals out from under his armpit and circles Naruto’s hand. However, the attack was meaningless because as soon as the snake made contact, it burned to death. Orochimaru opens his mouth and another form of him comes out and slithers away while the replacement of him burns to dust. Orochimaru decides to go for a direct hit and straight away he races to where Naruto is. Naruto is slow and then Orochimaru punches him on the side of his face. Naruto is sent flying back, but then another Naruto materializes within and slashes Orochimaru in half. The upper body of Orochimaru soars in the air. In seconds, snakes start crawling out of Orochimaru’s two parts and connect so that Orochimaru is one whole again. Back with Sakura and the real Yamato, Kabuto comes out from the forest and figures out that Sasori had been killed, and that was how the people of Konoha knew about this day. He also tells them that Sasori has always hated Orochimaru and that Akatsuki are also after him.

Naruto roars and red and blue balls of chakra come out of him and drift in the air. Then they all merge into one huge ball near Naruto’s open mouth. The sphere shrinks and Naruto swallows it in one whole. Orochimaru wonders how Naruto will attack with all that chakra restricting his movements as he backs further away. Naruto body becomes massively round and when he looks like he’s just about to explode, he releases the ball of chakra at Orochimaru. However, by then Orochimaru had already summoned three iron gates to protect him from the attack. The chakra ball actually appears to be a large fat tube, then becomes a tiny globe as it hits the gates. There is an enormous white light so no one can tell what is happening. After the attack loosens, the three iron gates are completely gone and Orochimaru’s head is beneath the ground while his body is leaning upwards. Naruto smirks because he thinks he finally killed Orochimaru, but then all of a sudden a sword comes out of the ground and stabs Naruto directly in the centre. Orochimaru’s head also emerges and it turns out that the sword is coming from Orochimaru’s mouth. The sword as well as Orochimaru’s neck is exgaeratingly long and Naruto is sent back to where the Heaven and Earth Bridge is. He hits the wall and Sakura finally sees what he has become. Meanwhile during all the fight, Sai tries to get closer to Naruto.

Thoughts: I was definitely impressed with this episode because we finally get to see more jutsus. The manga moved at the same pace during this part, I guess, so I really have nothing bad to say. The pictures were really nice for some reason, and Sakura looked really pretty in this episode. This is definitely not a disappointment because I’m certain that it was better than the manga at least. I must say that the impact Naruto’s attacks had on everyone else and his surroundings was really awesome. I loved the scenes where you get to see Orochimaru. He’s so purely evil, but it actually looked really cool. What I enjoyed most though, was where Orochimaru was jumping and leaping out of the way. That is what you call Naruto – and I missed all that kind of action! Definitely can’t wait til next week’s episode!!!

If possible, can anyone tell me what the ending theme song is?
