True Tears – 04

Poor Ai-chan …

While walking home together, Hiromi tells Shinichirou that the one she likes is Noe’s brother. In the morning, she catches him as he’s about to go out, but gets the impression that he’s avoiding her after greeting him with a “good morning”. Shinichirou dazes out into the sea while thinking, but gets interrupted by Aiko. Aiko senses that he’s upset so she decides to take him shopping. At home, Hiromi asks Shinichirou if he’s avoiding her, but he explains that he’s just surprised. After some conversing, she is about to cry, but doesn’t when Shinichirou’s mother comes in. Shinichirou goes to bed and his mother comments that Hiromi has eyes like her mother’s. At the end of school the following day, Noe bumps into Shinichirou and feeds him more seeds. He tells her that she can have his tears now since he feels like crying, but she refuses it because they’re worthless tears. She also tells him that her grandmother took her tears away with her before she left into the sky. This is why Noe can’t cry anymore and she needs Shinichirou’s tears, but not these “worthless” ones. Later, Aiko and Nobuse are walking together. They spot Shinichirou walking with Noe and Aiko becomes a little upset seeing how cute Noe is. Nobuse is about to take her hand but she pulls away immediately. She feels regretful and as the pedestrian light flashes, she quickly takes his hand to cross the street.

In the meantime, Noe tells Shinichirou that she can make him closer with Hiromi because Noe just wants him to be happy. He tells her that the seeds she feeds him aren’t edible, so she tries them, and shows off a goofy face because he’s right. This makes him laugh and feel much better for the rest of the day. Walking alone, Shinichirou wonders if he should give up on Hiromi since she likes Noe’s brother. When he returns home, Shinichirou’s father asks to see his picture book once it’s finished. Noe and her brother are at the market shopping for food so Noe can prepare something for Shinichirou. Shinichirou apologizes to Hiromi while in the bathroom. Since he’s thinking too much, he accidentally uses face wash as a replacement for tooth paste. Hastily, Hiromi grabs her phone and takes a photo of him while he poses for the camera. She starts laughing and Shinichirou is glad that even he can make her laugh. Leaving to go to school, he meets Noe’s brother at the entrance of his home. He introduces himself as Isurugi Jun and Shinichirou comments that he looks a lot like his sister. Jun denies this and instead asks if Shinichirou will go out with Noe.

Thoughts: That was one heck of a good episode, lol. I think Noe’s brother has feelings for Noe, and if so, I hope he’s non-related. When Shin mentioned that he and Noe were alike, Jun denied it, so yeah. If it’s a ShinxHiromi ending, I’m praying that Jun is definitely non-related, so that Noe can have someone while Aiko can have Nobuse. Seeing Hiromi laugh was kinda weird for me … she changed a lot in 4 eps: first she was cold and silent, now she’s more talkative and cheery. I still prefer Noe out of the three of them, she’s so cute. Lots of nice shots of her in this ep, so I was really glad. Since she’s gonna help Shin, I think she doesn’t have a crush on him and just wishes for him to be happy. She might develop some feelings later, and Shin might too. But their happy conversation seemed too friendly, so I think they might just stay friends.

Shin and Hiromi seem to have trouble expressing their feelings towards each other, so it’s more likely that they’ll end up. And Hiromi might even be Shin’s half-sister, so then again, that’s defeinitely a “no-no” for me. I hate sibling pairing, even if it’s half, lol. It has to be “non-related”, which I’m hoping Jun is. If Jun isn’t Noe’s real brother, then that will make things much more intersting. I kinda felt sorry for Aiko since she saw Shin and Noe together. If she really wants to be with Shin, she better stop calling him “ototou” then, ‘cos that kinda thing isn’t gonna get her anywhere. So even though I’ve said all this, I just really hope Jun is not incest. I mean, he’s so cool and all and better-looking than that Shin, plus if he were non-related to Noe, then this anime might just be the best for Winter for me. Actually, I think it already is.
