True Tears – 06

So, I just couldn’t wait until the subs were out and visited Veoh to download the raw version (and it was bloody 213 mb therefore quality is pretty much the best) of this episode. And OMFG! I was totally on the “AKIRA-SHOCK” mood since watching it. Man, I’m not particularly a fan of romantic anime, nor do I enjoy watching anime that involve lovey-dovey things since I’m more into the action, mystery, fantasy and violence genre. But I haven’t been so addicted / obsessed with a romance anime since reading the D.N. Angel manga. Yes, I despise the anime version of D.N. Angel since, well, I hated how they changed the storyline and the pictures were shitty anyway. But True Tears has got me friggin’ hooked and I still wonder what’s going to happen next, just like the Naruto manga.

Summary:Even though Aiko tells Shinichirou to not open the door, he does so anyway and lets Nobuse in. Nobuse sees her holding his sweater and asks if she could check if it fits, but she refuses and kicks both of them out. Shinichirou and Nobuse walk home and part ways at some point when Nobuse remembers the first time he met Aiko and fell in love straight away. After a while, he confessed to her and after some encouraging from Shinichirou, Aiko agreed to go out with Nobuse. At home, Shinichirou continues to wonder about the photographs with Hiromi’s mother’s face cut out. The next day at school, Nobuse asks why Shinichirou doesn’t go out with Hiromi and Shinichirou explains that she already has someone she likes. During basketball practice, Jun enters the gym and tells Hiromi that he’ll be waiting outside for her after school. In class at lunchtime, Shinichirou overhears Hiromi’s friends comment on how cool Jun is. Using the excuse that he’s heading to the toilet, Shinichirou goes to the steps near the field. Noe arrives and gives him an obento and as he leaves, she takes his belt. Hiromi goes to meet Jun and he asks if she likes the snow. Hiromi says she likes it, but also dislikes it. Jun tells her to meet him at the cinema at a particular time.

Hiromi has a flashback of a time when it was snowing. Shinichirou’s mother came and told her something that made her very surprised. Hiromi has a chat with Shinichirou while putting on a displeased expression, but there conversation ceases when Shinichirou’s mother comes in. Noe examines Shinichirou’s belt and Jun walks in, informing her about the date he has. Noe remarks that he looks very cool before asking about what his date looks like. Before he leaves, she finds out that Jun is going out with Hiromi. At their date in the cinema, Hiromi admits that this is her first time so she’s nervous. Jun tells her that he goes to the movie with Noe lots of time and they’ve been very close ever since their grandmother died. Hiromi notices something in Jun as he talks about Noe. In Aiko’s favourite store, Nobuse insists that he buy her a new sweater. She tells him not to and leaves the shop with Nobuse following. She stops for a moment and confesses that she brought the sweater because Shinichirou was looking at it. Jun takes Hiromi home and he tells her that Shinichirou and Noe are together. She is startled so he touches her lip, causing her to run inside. He doesn’t seem worried and looks almost as if he was just teasing her with a wide grin on his face. Inside, Shinichirou wonders what’s wrong but Hiromi says it’s nothing and goes to her room. While working on the computer, Shinichirou’s mother comes in and starts talking. Hiromi admits that she has never forgotten anything. Shinichirou interferes in their argument and demands to know what they’re talking about. Hiromi runs outside and Shinichirou pursues her. It is then he finds out from Hiromi that they may be half-siblings. Hiromi runs back inside the house and starts crying, leaving a shocked Shinichirou outside. Noe is at home singing her favourite song while cooking something.

Thoughts: Not exactly what I predicted, but so much drama is already happening when it’s only been 6 episodes! Jun’s feelings are still confusing me now because does he have feelings for Noe, or is he just looking out for her with his “brotherly-love.” And as most people guessed, Hiromi and Shinichirou are half-siblings. The father had an affair with Hiromi’s mum and pop, out came the baby. But as Kurogane mentioned, this anime is for adults so it’s probably going to explain that siscon is alright or some shit. Personally, I don’t give a crap if Hiromi and Shinichirou are half-siblings. They still belong together, or should I say, will be together because they’re both the ones with problems. I wouldn’t mind seeing Noe and Shinichirou being together for a while, but he’ll most likely end up with Hiromi after admitting that he really truly does love Hiromi. I have a feeling that Jun might start developing feelings for Hiromi or he might become really close to her as friends and admit his love for his own sister. Hiromi might start to think that if he can admit it, then she can be with Shinichirou. I’m rooting for siscon all the way and hope that Noe was adopted into the Isurugi family so she can be with Jun. I don’t think he has a sister complex any more ‘cos he probably just wants what’s best for Noe. But the scene in episode 4 when he wanted to touch her face? — Well, I can’t explain that one. And he’s so funny, lawls. He was teasing Hiromi with the whole touching face and lip thing, and it was pretty obvious with the smug expression on his face. Gawd, I hate the cliff-hangers of this anime — they’re killing me! I so can’t wait until next week!
