Ayakashi – 04

Everyone’s insane!

Summary: Yuu has a dream where he meets the “evil-man-we-keep-seeing”. The “evil-man-we-keep-seeing” asks Yuu for a favour but he wakes up, startled, before knowing what the request is. Yuu practices karate before school begins since Eimu won’t teach him how to use Ayakashi. He questions Kare’s identity but Eimu leaves for school. Yuu goes to collect his possessions but finds his karate book missing. At school, Kajiwara and a new introduced character, Nogi, get told off for coming to school late by the vice-principal. However, a purple-head girl manages to slip through unseen by the teacher while mumbling something about “not finding something.” She goes into Yuu’s class, continuing her search but eventually leaves. As she goes out, Nori comes in. When she’s asked by Hime and Yuu of who that girl is, she replies that she didn’t see anyone. Yuu is walking home when he spots Hime helping the strange girl look for her missing item. She introduces herself as Orie and Yuu and Eimu go into the river to help them. At school during nighttime, the vice-principal goes into the garden to visit his Kadan-chan but it’s not there any more. Nogi appears and uses his Ayakashi, which has the appearance of a whale, to swallow the teacher up in one whole. The following day in class, Yuu mentions the vice-principal to Nori but she has no clue of who they’re talking about and explains that this school never had a vice-principal.

Nogi asks Hime to stop helping Orie find her missing thing but she refuses, causing Nogi to become angry. Yuu and Hime leave school but she goes back in their classroom to get something that she forgot to bring with her. She is greeted by Nogi, while downstairs Yuu asks Nori where Hime is, but she answers that she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Afraid of what might have happened to her, Yuu rushes to where Hime is expected to be, but finds that she’s no longer there. Yuu takes the usual route home and wonders where Eimu is. He sees Orie in the river again looking for something. He tells her that he lost Hime and Orie volunteers to help him find her again by visiting the place she was last at. The two go back into the classroom and locate a purple sphere that leads to another dimension. They go into the garden where Orie points out the other purple spheres she saw, which was the vice-principals. An Ayakashi emerges from the ground and swallows up Orie. Nogi reveals himself and his Ayakashi’s name, which is Iwana. Just as Yuu is about to get swallowed too, Eimu appears and saves him with Akurou. Another Ayakashi user, Kadoya, exposes himself and helps his comrade. He lectures Nogi but then Nogi decides to use Perfect Form, which is joining himself with his Ayakashi. Eimu, Yuu and Kadoya team up to defeat Nogi and they manage to save Hime and Orie. The evil man we keep seeing insists that he meet Yuu when Yuu’s in Perfect Form.
