Predictions: True Tears – 08

Sorry for the lateness! I haven’t blogged Bamboo Blade or True Tears or any of the other releases since I went on hiatus, but I’m back now. I won’t be summarizing them ‘cos everyone else probably already did, so I’ll just move forward with my predictions of the next episode of True Tears. Now be warned, I’m usually half right or half wrong or just wrong altogether. And if you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, my phone line got disconnected or some crap like that, and so then it got fixed, and now the net’s back. Thank you telephone-fixer man.

Regarding Shinichirou and Aiko: With the cliffhanger kiss in the previous episode, I think Shinichirou will feel a little guilty when hanging around Noe. He might reject Aiko or tell her that he’s confused, so she’ll have to wait if she wants an answer from him. And for all those School Days fans who are hoping True Tears will follow the same plot line, Shinichirou might as well go out with Aiko and Noe. Personally, though, True Tears doesn’t look like a School Days type, so Shinichirou is either gonna dump Aiko or Noe. I don’t think he would dump Noe straight away seeing as they just started going out, but Aiko has been his friend for a long time now, so it’s gonna be hard dumping her as well. I’d rather see Shinichirou with Noe since her childish behavior is fun to watch, especially with someone who is sorta opposite. I don’t think Shinichirou really likes Noe yet, or he could subconsciously, but it’s going to take a while before he realizes that. He still has feelings for Hiromi and he isn’t going to get over her until he falls deeply in love with someone else, obviously.

Regarding Hiromi and Shinichirou’s mother: It’s pretty obvious that Hiromi finds the burnt photographs and questions Shinichirou’s mother about why her mother’s face had been cut off. We probably won’t learn the complete truth yet, but if the animators are wanting to surprise us, then let’s just hope we find out if Shinichirou and Hiromi really are half-siblings. I don’t believe so because Shinichirou’s mother was surprised when Hiromi admitted she remembered everything she had told her on that day, and the part where Hiromi told Shinichirou that they were “possibly” half-siblings also means that they might not be. This anime is full of drama, cliff-hangers and wtfs, so I’m joining the Hiromi and Shinichirou aren’t half-siblings club, if there is one.

Regarding Noe and Jun’s past: So these two are in the hospital and I”m presuming Noe tells Shinichirou about the time her grandmother died. She might also mention how close she is with her brother, or how much she had wanted to cry but couldn’t, because her grandmother had taken away her tears. Like Noe’s other past, this scene will most likely be really touching. I’m supposing it’s the scene when the grandmother dies because of the flowers, the depression, and how they’re standing beside the bed with a shocked expression. Like I’ve written in most of my other True Tears posts, I don’t mind siscon, and that means Jun doing those off-limit things to Noe. I’m just glad he ain’t retarded. Deep inside, he’s probably going crazy and he’s probably really upset that Noe fell in love with Shinichirou, but then he’s probably also glad because now she’s taken and he doesn’t have to worry about her much. With his statement: “It’s a game” probably means he’s going to challenge Hiromi or Shinichirou in a basketball match, or he’s referring to how he’s going out with Hiromi and Shinichirou’s going out with Noe. It’s like a game because if Shinichirou breaks up with Noe, he’s going to break up with Hiromi, and basically it’s to see who can last the longest with the person’s loved one in someone else’s arms.

Regarding Nobuse and Aiko: Nobuse knows that Aiko still has feelings for Shinichirou so he’s probably going to finally accept that and encourage Shinichirou to go out with Aiko. This may pressure Shinichirou since he’s already going out with Noe, and then Nobuse can’t find to forgive Shinichirou for leaving Aiko like that. Then Shinichirou breaks up with Noe and goes out with Aiko, then Jun breaks up with Hiromi and confesses to Noe of his true feelings, then Hiromi’s not Shinichirou’s half-sister, so then Shinichirou dumps Aiko and goes out with Hiromi, then Aiko realizes that she really does like Nobuse and he takes her back, and everyone lives happily ever after. Although I know things won’t turn out that way — Jun or Noe or Hiromi are probably going to get into a motorcycle accident (most likely Noe), and then Noe is on death bed, takes Shinichirou’s tears and dies. Unless True Tears surprises us like it has been doing for the last 3 or 4 episodes.

  1. If there is one thing I can predict….this show to me is rife with plot devices commonly seen in Korean (soap) dramas.

Which means only 1 thing….someone is going to get hurt in a motor vehicle accident or someone is going to develop a life-threatening illness.

Makes for very good watching =D

  3. If Noe dies in the end I will never forgive you!
I like your idea about the “it’s a game” comment. I think that accurately describes how Jun would see his trade-off. I actually kinda hope that comment is in regards to your first idea though because I wanna see Noe scramble all cute like with a basketball.
